Hold on to your hats, Treasure Coast locals...this place is owned by Cobbs/Tiki Bar from the marina. So, if you're not a fan of either of those then go ahead and skip this place. That being said, it was a welcome alternative to Hurricane's located next door. The place is pretty much arranged the same as Hurricane's too. I'm not a fan of seafood so at least half the menu was scrapped. There's about 10ish beers on tap. They had Redhook Longhammer IPA on tap so that was pretty cool but I don't know if that's the norm though. Plus there's a full liquor bar with those fruity girl drinks that you (the reader) really like. Don't deny it, Sally. I had a chix sandwich. My friend had the quesadillas. Both were ok, but I think the prices imply a better experience. $11 for a chix sandwich w/ fries...hmm, not really worth it for me. There were decent reviews for this place, but I think it fell short of expectations. The surf-y vibe is nice but maybe the STILL ridiculous amount of construction happening outside kills the mood.

Ordered the shrimp taco. Unfortunately it wasn't as fresh as I had expected it to be. Texture and taste seemed like the cheap, frozen supermarket brands. Chicken wings was just okay. They're a bit pricey for the portions that you get. I suggest you try some other place in the area and go here as a last resort.

Another perfect day by the beach! Okay, for everyone who complains about paying too much to eat at a great seaside, touristy vacation spot, get over it. You try and pay the bills selling $3 burgers. Look, you are less than 10 minutes from Subway or McDonalds, so if you don't care about atmosphere, service, or quality of food, go there and save $2. Now to the adults on Yelp, Bluewater Beach Grill has a fun beachside atmosphere with a surfer twist to it. Great little back story on their menu. They have a large drink menu, lets you feel like you are on vacation (and much less expensive than most waterfront bars). The service was very attentive, and quite a variety on the menu. Our food was good, fish fresh, and perfectly spiced. Some great hand cut fries! I would definitely drop in just for a basket of fries and a drink, but also a fun place for a date. The pictures other have posted were accurate, my Baja tacos were delicious (as were the sides). Never made it to dessert, too much food! Treat yourself (and friends) to the Bluewater Beach Grill!

Wow!great service and so pleasant!! Ate here twice in two days! Coconut margaritas were a plus! The mahi.sandwich is so fresh I thought the fisherman was still there getting paid ! On the special for the day was a Coconut Calamari taco with mango haberno sauce another great choice! Just thinking of these two dishes I am anxious to get back! Highly recommend! UPDATE 3/1/2015 After husband had the Coconut Calamari Taco with Mango Haberno sauce, I wanted to try it. I called yesterday to see if it was on the special for the day. The gentlemen who answered said, no, but please come in, and I will make it for you! I was so excited!! How nice was that? My husband and I went and sat outside while listening to live music, people watching, and relaxing. The friendly waitress we had was our waitress again. She remembered us and said welcome back! I told her I had to have one of the taco's my husband had and the telephone call. Next you know a gentlemen came out and said are you the one that called? I said, yes, he wanted to know exactly how we wanted it prepared! Really, again, great service! I had said just Calamari not Coconut, and he wanted to be sure we wanted the mango haberno sauce, it was a special that day so he wanted to prepare it the same. It was like heaven once again! It was so delicious and can't wait again to have it!! I can not get over the attention they gave us as customers, it was great!!! Ps.. coconut margaritas are good too! 5 stars again!!

Visited on Jan 1st for my wife's birthday. Between us: house salad, fish and shrimp taco's and key lime pie. Service is fantastic, food was great and location is great. Price is a touch high but worth it.

The atmosphere was very beachy. I really liked this. My order of grilled chicken was wrong but I'm in a generous mood. A huge portion of fish dip....which is a plus. Lots of locals. I really liked the vibe and I will be back. Conch fritters are super yummy and staff kept the beers coming. Definitely check this place out....it is a winner. I will be back and will probably order some seafood.

Tried Bluewater Beach Grill thanks to the Enjoyment book. Can't go wrong when you save $14. I ordered the Trestles salad which was very tasty but in my opinion not worth $16. My husband for some reason ordered the typhoon wings for $14. He received only six wings, french fries, coleslaw and fritters. Wasn't impressed. He said he would rather eat wings at hurricane grill. Would of loved to sit outside but way too many smokers. Sorry just my opinion. So all in all I liked it, hubby didn't.

Went here after reading some of the reviews on yelp. We weren't disappointed. Right by the beach at the jetty park in Ft Pierce. Kind of a small place but clean and comfortable. TV'S on every wall tuned into baseball when we were there. Friendly staff that doesn't rush you. We ordered the special of the day which was snapper. It was delicious and excellently prepared. Recommended!

I need to subtract out the drinks because we did decide on the 32oz buckets for $8 deal (well worth it!). If you watch the happy hour specials you could have 2 entrees and 2 draft beers in the low $30 range. I had the fried shrimp and they were awesome and my gf had the fried oysters and they were awesome as well. Fries were cooked well and I swear they must put something addictive in their coleslaw as it is so good that you find yourself being disappointed because there is such a small side given. I could go on and on but I really don't need to. Just know there is value here especially if you hit the happy hour. In my opinion a must hit restaurant in the area

Went for lunch on I Got an amazing Conch chowder it was highly recommended by the waitress and my husband got Grouper. Loved the environment right near the water, the table was a surf board!

This place was outstanding. My wife raved over the Coconut Shrimp and I had the Shrimp and Grits which was fantastic (and huge)! Service was attentive and the price was reasonable. We are probably going to hit it again before we leave the area.

Laid back atmosphere, comfortable, and right next to the beach. The mojo pork nachos were really good, and the coconut shrimp were absolutely delicious. It seemed a little pricey, $20 for the coconut shrimp basket which had 8 mid sized shrimp, fries, 2 fritters, and a small cup of coleslaw. However, the food really was very good. Our waitress was nice, and really on the ball for being the only one waiting on tables. I'd definitely go back.

I had the conch fritters and fish tacos. They are great. Friendly staff, fast service and reasonable prices. I will definitely be back.

If you're hungry this is a place you can come to and eat. You'll probably leave full. A meal and a beer will set you back about $20. I had 2 shrimp tacos. Meh... Made from frozen shrimp. Nothing remarkable but filling. I guess people like the beach atmosphere.

RECOMMENDED: Bluewater Beach Grill is a cool little spot conveniently located on South Hutchinson Island's northern inlet jetty. We've eaten here twice during our summer vacation to the island. During our first visit, we arrived extra hungry and ready to get some food in our belles quickly. We enjoyed an appetizer of their onion rings. The onion rings are really good and accompanying spicy ranch sauce is delicious (Sriachi and Hidden Valley Ranch dressing). We also ordered their blackened fish tacos, which were delicious. Writing about our experience their is making my mouth water, as I type this! Our waiter was the bartender/GM and he made our experience extra special. He's very friendly, personable and extremely attentive. We had such a great experience the first time, it was an easy decision to return for lunch this past weekend when we were getting hungry. PORTION SIZE ALERT: We ordered the calamari as an appetizer. We were very disappointed to the skimpy size of the order, especially at a menu price of $11. We knew up front that their were no rings or tentacles and that there would be some banana peppers mixed in. Unfortunately for us, the order had maybe 10 small strip pieces of calamari and 10 banana pepper rings. Hopefully, this was unusual and not a regular thing with this menu item. We ordered tacos again. Instead of ordering the delicious blackened fish tacos from our first visit, we were feeling wild and crazy.... This time the misses went for the seared tuna tacos and I hunkered down on the mojo pork tacos. Neither of us were disappointed with living on the wild side. The misses reported after eating all of her tacos that the tuna is far superior to her previously ordered blackened fish tacos! My mojo pork had a great flavor to them. QUESTIONABLE UPCHARGE: Unlike our first visit, we had one of our kids with us this visit. Our kid selected the chicken strips off the kids menu and wanted rice instead of french fries. The friendly waitress let us know that this would cost extra money, as it is an up charge to switch from fries to rice. That just didn't make sense to me, as both fries and rice are $3 each on the side item menu? Overall, the chicken was bland and tasteless. The little monkey barely ate her chicken, which is rare since she is a solid eater and not too picky. We will still return but will remain cautious about what we order.

Best burger in town, juicy, flavorful, large garnishment assortment, delicious homemade fries, good cole slaw. We'll definitely be back!

Great location with patio seating. Specials and drinks are delicious. Sitting outside you can take advantage of the nearby restaurant's live music. Fish tacos, including an Ahi Tuna, are excellent. Grab some frozen Rum Runners, too!

Great location, we sat outside while there was a band playing next door. So we had the ocean breeze, some sun and great music. That is all in the environment. Our server was not the most polite, or the most patient. It was very obvious she could care less and was there just for the job. She made a reasonable effort and would disappear inside frequently. Not sure if she had tables inside also but she didn't spend very long with us. She never mentioned the specials on food or drinks, she rushed us to order food after we ordered our appetizer. Hubby had some questions, she answered with short answers that really didn't help at all. The food was pretty good. The Lobster and queso dip was very good but they gave us way more chips than were needed. The half oysters were very small but hubby enjoyed them. He really enjoyed his Bleu cheeseburger and I had a coleslaw dog. It was like one of the best hotdogs I have every had! The bread was toasted and buttery, the coleslaw was fresh and delicious and the hot dog was grilled butterfly. I replaced the fries with onion rings and the were perfect, not to crispy, not to greasy and not so over battered the onion slides out of the batter . Just wonderful, so yes we really enjoyed the food and outside seating. P.S. After the weirdness from our server, the table across from us left her coffee mug on the table and when the server saw it, she ran after the other customer who was almost at the beach to give it to them. Maybe the server was just having an off day because that is above and beyond in customer service. We will be back

We were in Ft Pierce visiting the Seal UDT Museum on 3 Feb 2015, and needed some lunch. So after checking reviews, we decided to to check out the Bluewater Beach Grill. We first pulled into a parking spot next to the restaurant, but found that all the spaces were reserved to another restaurant and big signs stating that they had no qualms in towing you away if you weren't a patron of their establishment. So it was back out to the street to find a place to park. And parking we found a block or so away in an area covered with gravel. Not blacktop, but gravel. All the spots on the blacktop were taken. It was just before one when we arrived, and was given one of only a couple of open tables. Our waitress came over quickly and took our drink orders. The drinks arrived quickly and we gave our lunch orders. About 15 minutes later, my wife's order arrived and the server double checked to see what I'd ordered, saying she mistakenly placed the wrong order. She apologized and said my correct order would be out shortly. In less than 10 minutes I was being served, again with another apology. The food was good as indicate in the title, and they place stayed busy throughout our time there. People had to wait a short period of time to be seated. It isn't a big place, and probably had 15 or so 4-tops (just a guess). Had I known about the parking, I probably would have opted for another place. But food wise, I'm not sorry we had lunch at the Bluewater Beach Grill.

Great food! Great Place! Will visit again next time we are in town. Everything was great, I had shrimp tacos and husband had seared mahi. We got a few drinks too! Everything was great, and prices were great too.

Still don't get it - the oyster shooter are excellent, prices are reasonable, people are great, calamari is great, shrimp m grits, fish taco, fabulous - don't get why this place isn't packed every nite!

  • Bob M.

The food here is not good. I had the grouper sandwich, which tasted very fishy for grouper. I suspect it may be because it was deep fried, and the oil probably hasn't been changed for a while. The service was good, and I enjoyed the music.

Just tried this restaurant. Excellent food, especially the fresh catch of the day. We found it through yelp!

I have eaten here more then a few times since they opened. The food has always been good and consistent. We stopped in today for lunch and enjoyed the stop again. We had Shrimp Tacos, Conch Fritters, and a Shrimp Quesadilla. All were very well done and delicious. Our server was great and did a good job of keeping after our table. We will return as we always do.

We had been here last year & decided to try it again today for lunch. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, which was no problem( the place is small). The waitress were fine & our drinks were fine also. My complaint is with the food. We ordered calamari, fried fish platter & a hamburger. The hamburger was ordered med/rare, it came well/well. Every thing else was over done & loaded with salt. We would have mentioned it to our waitress but she didn't come back to our table until we were half done, so there was no point.

A great little place to dine. The server was excellent and the food was better. I'd recommend anyone going to Fort Pierce to try it out. My party had the wing Basket, Coconut Shrimp Basket and shrimp Basket. Simply wonderful.

Quiet midweek nite found us sipping $2 drafts and some fantastic goat cheese shrimp tacos w a side of grilled veggies. Huge dessert of churros w vanilla ice cream is def enough for two. Beach music in the background and games on multiple tvs. Perfect for a lazy beach vacation.

Chicken wings...not bad. Great location, relaxed and just fine for an afternoon app. And a beer.

This is our little getaway spot right near the beach...we always start our Fort Pierce Adventures out at the Blue Water Grill. Everytime I have been here the staff is great and the food is awesome. I had the Atomic Wing Dish they ran on special , along with the Blue water Fritters. The wings were cooked perfect and had enough Bite in the " in House made" Sauce to please any wing lover. The bluewater fritters were also a nice treat and priced quite reasonably across the board. Wash it down with a couple of oyster shooters and you set!. I always tell people about Bluewater.

I like it! We tried to go to Buoy 12a and they were closed for the day. We then went to Archie's and it was so packed that we couldn't find a parking spot, so we left. Third up was Bluewater Beach Grill. No issues here so we parked and went inside. Very cool looking restaurant with it's surfer vibe. Nice and clean and they easily accommodated our party of 6. First up, two pitchers of Miller Lite, a glass of wine, 2 oyster shooters, app of onion rings, app of conch fritters, and some Smak. First down the hatch was the shooters. It was my father in law's B-Day so we each had one. One Bluepoint oyster with Absolute Pepper, and a hit of a Bloody Mary mix. Whooo hooo that $hit woke me right up. Salty, slimy, chewy, spicy and delicious. All the apps were good but my favorite was the Fish Smak. This was some of the best fish dip I have ever eaten. Come to find out it's not made in house:( It's made at a fish smokehouse in Fort Pierce. The ratio of fish to mayo was perfect with the smokey flavor just exploding with every bite. This was so good I got another order. Main course I got the Shrimp Tacos with black beans and yellow rice. These were ok. I thought they skimped on the shrimps a bit and it was a tad to salty for me. For a dish that is almost 13 bucks for two tacos and rice, the portion should have been bigger. All of the other entrees; Western Burger, Bacon Burger, and Two Patty Melts all with fries from what I was told, were excellent. Everyone thought the burgers were cooked right, nice and juicy. My kids also loved the fries. Great service, cool vibe, good food and close to the water what else can a guy ask for. Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!

This in one of my favorite places on the island. I absoulutly love the fish tacos as well as the shrimp tacos. The service is always fast and polite. When ever I come on to the island and pass by Bluewater I'm instantly thinking of fish tacos. Wish I was there now.

Service was good. Food was good. Again, you are paying for the atmosphere. I would recommend you eat outside if you do go (seating outside are only 4 tables). I saw that they have an under $6 menu of about 10 items on football Sundays. Atmosphere inside is nice, bathrooms are clean. Counted 6 tvs. I had the Baja tacos, honey had the maverick chicken sandwich. Appetizer was the bluewater fritters (stole the show), 2 bottled Octoberfest and 1 Angry Orchard $50. A bit pricey bit not terrible. My tacos were good, good amount of fish but the rice and beans that come with it need some love and attention. The maverick sandwich was good but was missing some sort of sauce. It had a side of onion rings which were cooked perfectly. The fritters were with corn and jalapeños and drizzled with honey and topped with powdered sugar. Very good! Would we return? Probably for appetizers and drinks on a nice day.

This place has super-tasty tropical drinks! For really cheap! ($6.) Sweet concoctions that pack a kick... try the banana split martini. We tried a few different cocktails, plus the Kona toasted coconut/coffee beer. Yum! The bartender was nice and accommodating. Didn't get anything to eat, but the food we saw coming out for other customers looked tasty. The theme of the place is "surf shack" - it's got tables that look like surfboards, decor from 1960's surfing movies, and pictures of surfers tacked up around the place. Very, very cute! And appropriate, for a place right by the beach. Once the sun went down, they had some live music, which was perhaps better in concept than execution, but was still pretty cool. I'd be happy to go back.

Had the Oyster Platter lightly fried and it was beyond any doubt the very best fried Oysters i have ever had! Wife has fried shrimp platter and son had the Jerk Chicken. Both were wonderful! Will definitely go back many times......fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned and cole slaw was good but very small portion.

Loved the food! Great place. The menu items all sounded delicious. I had the fish tacos and the amount of food for the price was just right.

We came here looking for Thudpuckers, which is gone, and decided to try it's replacement. We were definitely pleasantly surprised! First thing I noticed was $5 Margaritas, made with Margaritaville (one of my favorite cheap-mid level tequilas). The drink was generous and excellent. We ordered Summerlins SMAK for an app and, of course, it was delicious. We expected that though since we have been buying it for years in Ft Pierce. My mom and I had the catch of the day Fish basket and boy was it good! We both couldn't decide if it was Mahi or Cobia; turned out to be Mahi. Def not frozen and def FRESH....like the catch of the day is SUPPOSED to be. Take note seafood restaraunt owners. Fish was fried and perfectly cooked, not too dry with a nice firm texture. Excellent. Basket also came with these house fritters: yum! Moist, dense, and spiced like a conch fritter but with corn inside. They were an unexpected delight. This meal exceeded our expectations and is def a great value, especially for being located right next to the inlet.

Stopped by for a simple meal on July 3rd with my wife. Beer, drink special and burgers were good. The fries are a disaster! Oily, gummy and tasteless. They need to spend some quality time learning to fry with Alton Brown. Best to order vegetables.

Came here for a dinner date on a weeknight around 5, sat at the bar and had excellent service. I got a pina colada to start and my date had a beer. Prices are a little high but its worth it, close to the beach, my date got the fish tacos and loved them! i got the shrimp tacos and they were good as well. We got the jerk wings for an app, those were not as appealing as i thought. They are not too spicy at all and very small and fatty but oh well- its not a wing joint ! pretty small portions like i said it is expensive, they do have a HH as well though. I will most likely be back.

Cool casual atmosphere, but I learned that I cannot ingest large oysters without gagging. Also, the corn fritters are more like dessert beignets than appetizers & the fish tacos come with cheese, which, let's be honest here, is just uncivilized. Order a cold beer and something fried.

This is the best restaurant in Fort Pierce. Florida Fun Fact 4 (see my other reviews for 1-3): Only one out of five restaurants can be awesome. Florida Fun Fact 5: There are fucking gators everywhere. Seriously, they are everywhere. If you are reading this in florida, look at the chair you are sitting on. Psst... dummy it's a fucking gator! But for some odd reason gators don't eat stupid people, cause Florida has them by the buttload as well. The BlueWater Grille is amazing. Good food, Good service, and the best oysters I have ever had the pleasure of slurping down. We ordered two dozen to start with and then got a third dozen cause they were so good. We even managed to talk my 13 year old and 11 year old nieces to eat one even though they hate icky things. I had the fish tacos and they were the most delicious thing I have ever had the pleasure of scarfing down like a mad man. It was a whirlwind of amazing seafood coupled with drinks and a very happy family. When I go back to Florida this will be my first stop.
